About
9th Street Grill opened in January 2006, after nearly a year of planning and work by Rob Lupa & Laura Thacker. The building at 222 S. Ninth Street was built around the turn of the last century and for many years housed Johnson Brothers Cainbetry. Rob and Laura purchased the building in 2005 and began the long process of remodelling and recruiting staff. After spending several years abroad, and travelling extensively around the U.S., Rob and Laura were eager to bring the food they love to their new hometown. With the help of Chef Leonard Beard(CIA), they planned a menu of mediterranean flavors that would still be comfortable to the local palate. The first year of business has been overwhelmingly successful, and Rob and Laura look forward to many more years of serving their faithful patrons and working with their loyal staff.
